Samsung announced their new flagships for the year 2017, i.e. the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus last month. While we knew everything about the devices before their official announcements, most people were actually excited to see the devices in all its glory. In fact, all the rumors and the leaks kind off helped Samsung to create a hype which turn is now showing up on their pre-order numbers. Yes, Samsung has now shared some details from the first week of pre-orders and well, let’s just say that the S8 siblings are doing an exceptional job out there.
As we already know from few sources that the S8 is getting an overwhelming response in Korea, Samsung has come out of the closet sharing some details from the U.S. branch. They have released a statement stating that the S8 pre-orders are outpacing that of the S7 from last year. No exact numbers were revealed but it looks like they are getting “Strong double-digit growth”. This is definitely what Samsung wanted especially after what the Note 7 had gone through.
Samsung also revealed a very interesting info about the pre-orders. They said that most people are opting for the Galaxy S8+ and that too the Midnight Black is selling like hot cakes over the not so popular Orchid Gray. Well, this is indeed surprising to see that people are going for the bigger variant since this was not the case earlier and most people went with the smaller variant. Larger phones are definitely becoming more mainstream now in the market and this is one of the proofs which we have.
This could very well be possible due to the fact that the smaller has a 5.8″ display whereas the bigger one has 6.2″. Since the difference is not much here, people are simply choosing the bigger one since they are getting a better battery as well. Having said that, we would like to know your thoughts on this. Would you be interested in buying the larger variant or the smaller one when it comes out here in India?
