Last year, Samsung pulled off the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone from the stores after series of explosions. Later, the in-house investigation report suggested the design fault of the 3,500mAh battery is the reason for this explosion. Earlier, we have reported about the launch of the refurbished variant of the Galaxy Note 7 in the selected markets in Asia and Europe. Though Samsung India has officially denied about this, recently, the company officially announced to bring back the refurbished units in order to control the recycling process.

According to the leaked images, the Galaxy Note 7R (a.k.a refurbished Galaxy Note 7) will come with a smaller 3,200mAh battery replacing the faulty 3,500mAh battery. Samsung had earlier launched the Galaxy Note 7 in India for Rs. 59,900, but it was not made available in the country. Now, the upcoming Galaxy Note 7R is said to be priced lower than the original variant. Apart from the smaller battery, there won’t be any changes in terms of specifications or the design of the device. It is also the first ever Note series device to come with IP68 certification making it water and dust resistant.
