After the failure and recall of the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5 is the last big phone available. As a result millions still use it today. Now that it’s starting to show its age, is it time to upgrade? This is everything you need to know about the Galaxy S8+ and how it differs from the Note 5.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5 is still a great phone. It offers a beautiful premium design that’s all metal and glass. The screen is large at 5.7-inches with a Quad-HD resolution, and of course there is a stylus. Owners know what it has to offer, and what makes it great.

However, it’s now two years old and there’s no viable replacement in most Samsung users eyes. The Note 7 was canceled, and nothing else compares. And while the upcoming Galaxy S8 and S8+ don’t have an S-Pen, there’s so much more to appreciate. We have big screens, water resistance, a microSD slot (that’s a big one) and better battery life.

In fact, the “small” and regular Galaxy S8 has a bigger 5.8-inch display. Which looks about the same size as the Note 5 when you consider the rounded corners, curved edges and the taller design. And then there’s the Galaxy S8+ with a massive 6.2-inch screen. That’s what were here for. What the big new S8+ has to offer, and why you should switch.
