You can try the iOS 10.3 update ahead of time thanks to the iOS 10.3 beta. If you decide to try the iOS 10.3 beta on your iPhone or iPad, you’ll want to be prepared.

Apple’s confirmed an iOS 10.3 update for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The update is a milestone upgrade and it will deliver new features on top of security patches and bug fixes for lingering iOS problems.

The iOS 10.3 release date isn’t confirmed (a March release is a possibility) but you can test the update and its features right now via the iOS 10.3 beta.

The iOS 10.3 beta is available to those with a paid developer account and to those signed up with Apple’s Beta Software Program. The Beta Software Program is free and it’s open to anyone with a working Apple ID.

The iOS 10.3 beta is tempting. Its loaded with new features and performance improvements for the iPhone. That said, this is early software and early software is typically unstable.

The latest iOS 10.3 beta fixed some issues but many people are still running into issues on the latest version.

Today we want to take a look at the most common iOS 10.3 beta problems and offer some help to those in need.

This is also a good resource for prospective iOS 10.3 beta testers. If you decide to try the software, you’ll want to have a list of fixes handy.

How to Fix iOS 10.3 Beta Installation Problems

If you’re new to the iOS beta process, and you’re confused about the installation process, take a look at our iOS 10 beta installation guide.

Our guide will take you step-by-step through the installation process for the developer beta and the public iOS 10.3 beta.

We also recommend taking a look at our list of things to do before installing the iOS 10.3 beta on your iPhone or iPad.

The iOS 10.3 beta 2 is now available.

If you are signed up for Apple’s public iOS 10.3 beta and your device isn’t seeing the beta, you might need to re-install the profile.

To get the process moving in the right direction, head over to and tap on Download Profile.

Once you get that downloaded, choose Install. Restart your iPhone or iPad and then go to Settings -> General -> Software Update and you should see the iOS 10 public beta on your device.

If your iOS 10.3 beta download is getting stuck hold down the home button and the power button (if you own an iPhone 7, hold down the volume down and power button) at the same time.

Your device will power down and restart and then you should be able to get the installation process rolling again.

How to Fix iOS 10.3 Beta App Download Problems

We’ve been using the iOS 10.3 beta for a few weeks now and we’ve experienced issues with app downloads from the iOS App Store.

The issue isn’t limited to downloading new apps. We’ve also had problems downloading key updates for our various apps and services.

We were able to fix this problem with a simple restart. Hold down the power button, hold it down again to turn the device back on, and return to the App Store.

How to Fix iOS 10.3 Beta Wi-Fi Problems

While using the iOS 10.3 beta we’ve noticed issues with Wi-Fi to LTE handoff on the iPhone. This is a common issue and one we’ve seen occur on many iOS beta updates.

If your device is having issues switching from Wi-Fi to cellular data, try toggling Airplane Mode on and off to see if that fixes the issue going forward.

If this doesn’t work, head to Settings and turn Cellular Data to Off. Flip Cellular Data back on and see if that fixes the issue.

If you’re experiencing another issue with Wi-Fi (it’s grayed out, etc), take a look at our list of fixes for iOS 10 Wi-Fi issues.

How to Fix iOS 10.3 Beta FaceTime Audio Problems

We’ve seen an uptick in FaceTime Audio problems during our stint on the iOS 10.3 beta.

If you are using iOS 10.3 beta and you’re unable to make a successful FaceTime Audio call to a friend or family member, have that person call you.

In our experience, if the person on official software calls the person using beta software, FaceTime Audio calls not only work, they’re more reliable.

How to Fix iOS 10.3 Beta Bluetooth Problems

Bluetooth issues are a common complaint from iOS 10.3 beta users and we want to outline a few remedies that should work.

First, try forgetting the Bluetooth device. To do that, head to Settings > Bluetooth > Select your connection using the circular blue i tab > Tap Forget this Device. After this is complete, try reconnecting your phone or tablet to your Bluetooth device.

If that doesn’t work, try resettings your Network Settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

If that doesn’t work, you should try resetting all of your device’s settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

Once this is complete, your settings will be restored to factory defaults. Make sure you have your various Wi-Fi passwords handy because your device will forget them.

How to Fix iOS 10.3 AirPod Problems

If your AirPods won’t connect or if only one AirPod connects to your device, we’ve found a potential fix for you.

Take both AirPods out, put both of them in the case, close the case, wait 5-10 seconds, and then take them out slowly with the case next to phone. This has fixed our connection issues.

How to Downgrade to iOS 10.2.1

If you can’t fix your iOS 10.3 beta problem, you can always downgrade to the official version of iOS 10. As of right now, the official version is iOS 10.2.1.

To do that, take a look at our iOS 10 downgrade guide. It will take you step-by-step through the process used to move off one update onto another.
