A new mobile phone brand called ‘ui phones’ emerged in the already crowded Indian mobile phone market. BTM Exports Limited is the company behind the ‘ui phones’ and is mentioned to have a mobile phone manufacturing facility in India. While the world is moving toward smartphones, there are still lot many people using feature phones. Even the ui phones will be limiting to make only features phones, and all their devices will be manufactured locally under the “Make in India” campaign. The company aims to target the Tier II and Tier III towns offering the value for money phones.

While there are no plans as of now to manufacture smartphones and tablets, the company isn’t ruling out the possibilities. Initially, the company will be selling mobile phones in the North and Eastern states of India including J&K, HP, Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi NCR, UP, Uttrakhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha. By the year end, the company might reach out to other parts of the country. The mobile phones which will be launched now will be priced from Rs. 800 to Rs. 1,400.

A total of eight mobile phones will be launched under the ui phones brand. The list includes Connect 1, Selfie 1, Selfie 2, Selfie 3, Power 1, Power 1.1, Power 2, and Nexa 1 phones. Apart from the Connect 1, all the other devices come with earphones included in the box.  The devices support dual SIM dual standby and also offers MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. As the company is targeting the Tier II and Tier III towns, the mobile phones will be coming with English and Hindi languages support. With the cheaper price tags, the build quality will also be sub-standard.
